Music -  Nordland is known for it’s music.  You are invited to join us for Senior Choir practice on Wednesday evenings at 8 p.m. during the school year.  From the Sunday School choir, the Senior choir, the Praise Group,  to the congregation singing at a service, the congregation is uplifted by the Spirit with music.

Nordland Lutheran Church Women (NLCW)

Prayer Ministry – Every Tuesday morning a group gathers in prayer at Nordland at 8 a.m. to offer praise and prayer concerns.

Parish Nurse – Our Parish Nurse heads our Health and Wellness Committee which is an active group.  The parish nurse takes blood pressures, hosts educational events, visits and takes communion to shut-ins.  The group also sponsors a Health Fair every winter which is well attended by people in the area.  They work to raise funds for the program through dinners and grant funds.

Puppet Ministry – God’s All Star Puppets
Our youth are all stars when they take their Christian message to the many surrounding congregations.

Youth Ministry
Nordland youth groups have attended the National Youth Gatherings, Green Lake Bible Camps, Shores of St. Andrew, have attended Global Mission Events, and worked on local and distant service projects, including one at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brooklyn, New York.    They have also worked on the Indian Missions in South Dakota and Bemidji.

Youth Financial Aid – Financial Aid for Bible Camp, Youth Gatherings, and College are available for our youth.

Cradle Roll
As each new baby is born to our congregation, they are added to our cradle roll.  Through the cradle roll, we are able to stay in touch with the new babies and their families.  At three years old, the toddlers are honored by the congregation at a special presentation during the Sunday Church service.  Besides a congregational gift, the special service lets the child know they are old enough to begin Sunday School classes.

Honorary Members
Each year we honor our members who are 70 years and over.  There is a special party for all members.  This year the party will celebrate the “Good Ole Days” with entertainment from Granny L.  The party will begin after church on Sunday, October 14.  These members are honored for their contributions in the past and present.
